How does twice-monthly payroll processing work?
We run payroll on the 15th and 30th of every month through Deel. Before each pay date we verify hours, review pending bonuses and stipends and check every amount. Deel then pays each team member in their local currency, and you get an invoice with the full breakdown.
Which currencies do you support?
Through Deel we pay in nearly every major currency: Brazilian real, Colombian peso, Philippine peso, South African rand and many more. You are invoiced in your own currency, usually USD.
Do you take a cut of employee salaries?
No. Salaries pass through at cost. Every invoice shows the salary and our staffing fee as separate lines. When a team member gets a raise, the full raise goes to them. The staffing fee is a percentage of salary, and volume discounts lower it as your team grows.
How much do payroll management services cost?
Payroll is included in the staffing fee, a percentage of the agreed monthly salary: 60% up to $1,500, 50% from $1,501 to $2,500, 40% from $2,501 to $3,500, 35% from $3,501 to $4,500 and 30% above $4,500. A $2,000 salary means a $1,000 staffing fee, so $3,000 a month in total. Recruitment and HR are included too.
How do you handle raises and salary changes?
When you approve a raise, we amend the contract in Deel, update payroll and adjust your invoice. The raise shows in the next pay cycle. Our performance management team can recommend raises after semiannual reviews, but the decision is always yours.
What happens when I hire my first team member through Adaptive Teams?
Once you pick your candidate through our recruitment process, we set up their Deel contract, configure payroll and onboard them into our HR management system. Payroll starts with the next pay cycle. You need no local entity or tax registration.
