Adaptive Teams didn’t start in a boardroom with a business plan. It started in the trenches of building a real company: SellerPlex, an e-commerce operations company founded by Nate, where Menno joined early to help build and scale operations. Since 2018, they’ve been hiring remote talent across continents, assembling distributed teams of dozens of people spanning Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa to power SellerPlex’s day-to-day operations.
Over the years, what began as an internal recruitment function evolved into something much bigger. Together, Nate and Menno developed a repeatable system for sourcing, vetting, onboarding, and managing remote employees. Not through theory, but through hundreds of real hiring decisions and the hard lessons that come with them. They learned what makes a remote hire succeed: structured onboarding, clear performance frameworks, the right tools, and a genuine commitment to employee wellbeing across time zones.
